Hello, Early in march we planted 3 acres of Garlic.

The two varieties are Purple Italian and White Russian.

So far approx 95%+ of the Purple Italian have sprouted and reached the 5+ leaf stage.
None of the White Russian has sprouted due to the mild weather although the roots are developing as per expected (just waiting for a hard frost).

Now the Purple Italian has, in the last week, started turning from a lush green to a pale green with yellow bottom leafs.

Our watering regime is about 25,000Lts every 2 days via a fixed irrigation system.

The ground is all-ways moist and we have just applied a "sea-sol" equivalent liquid fert through the venturi on the irrigator.


Does anyone have any idea as to why a color change has occurred and if it is a problem or normal?
