Hello Every 1
I am the Head Teacher at Dunedoo Central School (NSW). Part of the revival of agriculture in the school I have started showing steers. As this is a costly process, although excellent exposure and advertisement we are always looking for breeders to donate steers to our show team.
We are currently attending 4 shows per year with plans to increase.
These include Sydney Royal, Dubbo Beef Spec and National Steer Show.
Cheers

Hi Robert,
My husband & I breed and show Galloways, between Yass and Canberra. We also direct market grass fed Galloway beef at our local Farmers Market --so we believe in the quality of Galloway beef and have many repeat customers confirming the Galloway difference. We already supply steers and breeding cattle to schools and we are interested in increasing the exposure of Galloways by donating Galloway steers to additional schools. We normally donate the steer, the school feeds him, enters him in a hoof and hook comp and we share the price obtained at auction. However, we also would like to know that you are capable of correctly feeding a steer, as we have seen some potentially good steers not looked after correctly.
We have a friend, a Sydney butcher who regularly buys school prepared Galloway steers, who has a property near you. He also assists schools in steer preparation. Possibly he would be willing to do the same for yourselves.
I hope that this is of interest to you.
Cheers
