Formatted for archive, click link to see original version : Lost Nokia 6120 Classic on farm
I lost my Nokia 6120 Classic in a paddock somewhere on my farm. I retraced my steps, but I didn't find it. I called my mobile number from another mobile, at the locations I thought I lost it, but I couldn't hear it ring (and yes, the ring tone is activated and loud enough to hear at close range). Does anyone know if or how I could locate my phone? e.g. would contacting my network service provider (Telstra) and quoting the phone's IMEI number allow them to locate the phone using GPS coordinates?

Could work, if that particular phone has inbuilt GPS, otherwise it needs mobile towers to triangulate the signal, I'm pretty sure the Police have the technology for that, within a general radius anyway...
