Taiwan Forage Imports to date:

To date total imports into Taiwan are 23,231 metric tons down from 23,893 in 2004 Australia's exports into this country are down 16.5% from last year reflecting the rise in the Australian dollar.

Korea Forage Imports to date:

To date total imports into Korea are 21,280 metric tons up from 19,134 in 2004 Australia's exports into this country are up slightly from last year again the rise in the Australian dollar is having a long term effect and the Chinese are supplying the local market for Alfalfa bales.

Japan Forage Imports to date:
Alfalfa Cubes:
To date total imports into Japan are 66,305 metric tons up slightly from 66,305 in 2004 Australia's exports into this country are down 47.5% from last year again the rise in the Australian dollar is having a long term effect here, however the US has increased exports to Japan to 59,980 metric tons so far this year up from 57,691 metric tons last year.

Baled Hay:
To date total imports into Japan are 395,881 metric tons up slightly from 372,815 in 2004 Australia's exports into this country are up slightly from last year however again the rise in the Australian dollar is having a long term effect here, however the US has increased exports to Japan to 270,270 metric tons so far this year up from 249,435 metric tons last year.

Wheat Sales:

US

The USDA Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) purchased 8,500 metric tons of Soft White Wheat for export distribution to Bangladesh May Shipment and also 15,500 metric tons of Soft White Wheat for export distribution to Pakistan. Shipment also slated for May.

The USDA Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) purchased 13,310 metric tons of 13.5 pct protein Northern Spring Wheat for export distribution to Nicaragua. Shipment is slated for May.

US private exporters of 165,000 metric tons of Corn. no destination reported Shipment near end of August 2005.

Oilseeds:

South Korea purchased approximately 60,000 metric tons of US Soybeans. Shipment May - Sep
