We're after a modest electronic weighing set up suitable for goats. Understandably, most systems around are aimed at large enterprises which need lots of data on lots of animals. Read: expensive as ($1500+)
I'm looking for something that will weigh the animal and can link to a PC where the data can be stored and reported on and costs less than $1000 - prefer less than $500.
Any ideas?
The only link in the directory I found that supplies scales is Tru Test (http://www.aglinks.com.au/detail/Tru-Test-L546.html). Their web site looks fairly comprehensive but being all brand new equipment it's likely to be above your price limit :(.
There is another company in Melbourne called @Weigh (http://www.atweigh.com/) that supplies a range of scales.
Apart from that you could always try the Trading Post (http://www.tradingpost.com.au/). Once the forum is a bit busier you might find what you are looking for by posting in the Marketplace forum :thumb.
try http://www.ruddweigh.com.au
and or

It's allgood. Picked up a Thunderbird Powerscale indicator and 2000kg weighbars for $660 at a clearing sale on the weekend.
Now...to get the goats to stand still long enough to weigh them...
