Prime Minister John Howard unveiled a new drought assistance plan today.
Interest rate subsidies have been increased, as has the off-farm assets test limit. Further changes to off-farm income limits are also likely.
It's mostly good news for farmers although I'm sure everyone would prefer a return to normal seasons.
